Pancakes and Booze 2024 was a memorable one. I met with a lot of first timers that emblazoned what it takes to be a creator. I’ve displayed my art with this organization for a few years. However, this was my first year as press. I had the chance to capture the beauty of the artist community. Pancakes and Booze art show started gaining attention in 2009. It has encouraged many aspiring artists to come out of their shells. This event brings a sense of community to some amazing talent. Pancakes and Booze travel all over the country. My goal is to help them find a venue in San Diego, CA. Don’t think I’ve forgotten, guys! There were so many different ideas displayed all over Lot 613 warehouse located in LA. They ranged from trinkets to portraits, I was in love with how much passion flowed throughout the building.

There were so many live painters for this event. This is probably the most I’ve seen since I’ve started coming to these events. It was inspiring to me to watch such courage as they all sat and created amazing pieces in the middle of an important event. To share with their peers what their minds transpire on paper. It felt as if they tuned everyone out to bring their world to life.

Here’s an honorable mention to the models for the Zombie Fashion show the organizers prepared for all their guests. Unfortunately, a sudden family emergency had come up and I was unable to capture the fashion show itself. I was able to get some prep photos of the models and the special effects artists in action! I’ve never seen SFX artists in person before and the experience of it was impelling.

I’m thrilled about what Pancakes and Booze has been bringing to communities in the U.S.
Our nation has faced divisiveness and gloom over the last few years. It was beautiful seeing so many different people from every walk of life and share their love through art! For two nights in a row, we came together as a family in this 12,000 Sq. ft property and forgot all about the current events. The only thing that mattered was our support for one another. Here are some more photos for this past weekends special event:
